CommTools Installation

1) Make a directory called COMMCDF, copy the contents of the distribution disk to this directory, make this directory your default directory and run the self-extracting ZIP file COMMTOOL.EXE.

2) The files are extracted into the directory. Files include the CDF program file COMMCDF.EXE along with a sample DataEase application (User Name: JJ, Password: ).

3) Provided that you installed the program to C:\COMMCDF, you may execute the test procedure that simply sends an "ATZ" string out the COM2: port and reports its progress along the way. You can modify as necessary to match your configuration. If you need to change the directory location of the installed files, modify the procedure 'Change CDF Location' as necessary and run it.

4) If you need to install the CDFs in your own application, just import the CUSTTAAA.DBM file from the sample application into your application's system Custom Functions form (as a DataEase file).
